Who can buy on Second Wind?

Anyone with a delivery address the checkout can verify. You can browse every listing without an account; you only need one to save gear, message a seller or pay.

How do I buy something?

Open the listing, tap Buy, and pay through checkout. Card details go straight to our payment provider — the seller never sees them, and never handles your money.

What gets added to the price at checkout?

The seller's asking price, plus postage of $5.99 (or nothing, when the seller ships free), a 6% marketplace fee and a service charge: $0.50 under $50, $1 from $50 up. You see the whole total before you pay.

Yes. Send the seller an offer with the amount and a line about it, and they can accept or decline. An accepted offer is theirs to honour, so check the price on the listing again before you check out.

Can I save gear for later?

Tap the heart on any listing and it lands in Likes, in your closet. It is the easiest way to build a shortlist before you commit.

Can I ask the seller a question first?

Always. Message them from the listing — sizing, wear, measurements, anything. Ask before you buy rather than after; most disagreements never happen if the question gets asked up front.

How do I sell my gear?

Start from Sell: add photos, the brand, category, sport, size and condition, then set your price and postage. You can start a listing before you have an account — the draft stays on your device until you publish.

What does it cost to sell?

Listing is free. When an item sells, the buyer covers the 6% marketplace fee and the service charge, and card processing of about 3% comes off your balance. Everything else is yours.

Who sets the postage?

You do. Either the standard $5.99 flat rate, or free shipping if you would rather absorb it. Whatever the buyer pays for postage goes to you.

How and when do I get paid?

Set up payouts once from your closet, and every sale is routed to your connected account. The transfer timing follows the payment provider and your bank.

Can I edit a listing or drop the price?

Yes, any time from your closet. When you cut a price, the old one is shown struck through beside the new one, so buyers can see the deal.

How should I price an item?

Start from what it cost new, then take off for the wear you would honestly describe. Gear that is priced to move sells quickly; a fair price with clear photos of the flaws beats a high price with vague ones.

What is not allowed on Second Wind?

Counterfeits, stolen goods, anything that is not sports gear, and worn-out or recalled safety equipment — helmets, harnesses, ropes and the like. Every listing is checked when it is published.

The seller you bought it from, straight to the address you entered at checkout. Sellers are asked to post within 3 days of payment.

Do I get a shipping label?

Yes. When something sells, you can print a delivery label from your sold items — it carries the buyer’s address, the item and where it ships from.

How do I follow my order?

Everything lives under Orders: what you bought, what you sold, and where each one has got to. The seller marks it posted once it is on its way.

Can I return something because it does not fit?

Second Wind is a marketplace, so a change of mind is not covered. Check the size and the photos, and message the seller with any questions, before you buy.

What if the item is damaged, wrong, or never arrives?

Message the seller first — most of these are settled between the two of you. If you cannot agree, send us the order number through the support form within 30 days of the order and we will step in, including a refund through the payment provider where the problem is the seller’s.

Do I need an account to browse?

No. You can browse and even start a listing without one. An account is what lets you buy, message, save gear and publish what you are selling.

How do I change my username, photo or bio?

Open your profile from your closet and edit it there. Your username is the handle other members see beside your gear and on your listings.

Once an order is complete, the buyer and the seller can each leave a rating. Ratings are tied to a real order, so nobody can rate you without trading with you.

I did not get an order confirmation email. Why?

The usual cause is an unverified email address. Verify it from the link we sent at sign-up, and the order and shipping emails will start arriving. Either way, every order is in Orders in the app.

How do I delete my account?

From your account menu, choose to delete it. Your profile, your listings and your personal details go with it; order and payment records are kept for as long as tax rules require.

Is my payment protected?

Your card is charged by our payment provider, and the seller is paid out through their own connected account — they never see your card details. Every order is covered for an item that never arrives, arrives damaged or is not as described.

Someone asked me to pay off the platform. Should I?

No. A deal arranged off the platform is not protected, and we cannot help with money that never passed through the app. Tell us about it and we will look into the account.

How do I report a listing or a member?

Use the menu beside the listing, message thread, review or profile and choose report. Every report is read by our team, and the member you reported never sees who sent it.

How do I block someone?

Block them from the same menu. Their listings stop appearing for you and their messages stop reaching you, and you can undo any block from your account menu.

What do the condition labels mean?

Like new: worn once or twice, or tried on and shelved. Lightly used: one short season, no structural wear. Well loved: plenty of life left, with the flaws shown honestly.

Is the gear inspected?

Sellers describe and photograph their own gear, and we require the flaws to be shown. Every listing is reviewed when it is published, and what you receive has to match what was described.

How is my home feed chosen?

From the sports, gear and brands you pick in the welcome survey. Your feed leads with those, and Discover shows everything else trading on the marketplace.

Can I search and filter by sport, size or price?

Yes — search by item, brand or even the seller, and filter by category, sport, size, condition and price on the Shop page.

What is the gear advisor?

An assistant that lives in the app and helps you find the right kit — tell it the sport and what you are after, and it recommends from what is actually listed right now.

Does Second Wind work on my phone?

Yes. The whole marketplace works in the browser on a phone, a tablet or a desktop, and you can add it to your home screen for one-tap access.

About orders, yes — confirmations, shipping and the follow-up after delivery. Occasionally we will flag gear in the sports you follow, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link in the footer.
